AWPer
Usually starts around T Spawn, Top Mid, Bridge, Canals, A Main or B-side routes depending on spawn, default structure and the opening plan. Can change responsibilities with the Mid playmaker, extremity players or lurker between rounds, especially when the team wants to punish CT aggression, hold rotations or create a pick before committing to a split. Opening kills matter, and the T-side AWPer controls how freely CTs can fight for Mid, Water, Connector and site entrances.

About these averages
Metric: all archived map-side rows with the exact Anubis T “Awper” label. Timeframe: 2024-12-18 to 2026-08-28. Sample: n=1,556.
Source: CSdex V1 aggregate performance archive. Fallback: no fuzzy role-label mapping. Risk: the average describes the archive, not the correct target for every team or round.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Mid / Bridge
- Peek Mid / Bridge with support to punish early CT aggression. (Aggressive)
- Hold passive angles for pushes, re-peeks or rotation mistakes. (Defensive)
- Reposition toward A, B, Water or Connector according to early information. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting side routes
- Support A Main or B Main pressure from safer long-range lines
- Hold Connector / Water timings after teammates take space
- Fall back and protect rotations once map control is secured
Mid-round patterns
- Support Mid control with the AWP, holding long sightlines while riflers clear close angles and pressure CT utility. Decide whether to take first contact, hold the trade line or stay passive to punish re-peeks. Expect this when the T side wants Mid control before choosing between A, B or Water pressure.
- Hold rotation timings through Connector, Water or Heaven-related paths after space is gained. This can isolate anchors, stop information plays and protect the bomb carrier before the final hit. Teams use it in slow defaults, after early utility has been traded or when the T side wants to freeze CT movement.
- Reposition late toward the final bombsite to stabilize the execute instead of forcing a risky duel. The AWPer can cover the plant path, punish retake movement or deny the first CT trying to swing back into the site. It fits when CT positions are uncertain, when the team has already created pressure elsewhere or when the round depends on converting map control cleanly.
