A Anchor
Usually starts around A Site, Pit, Balcony or Apartments. Can change responsibilities with the Short / Arch player depending on spawn, utility and the defensive setup being played. The player has to balance survival, space denial and late-round impact: fighting Apartments too much can give Ts a free trade, but giving it up too early can make the A site extremely hard to hold. Utility management is also important, since flashbangs, molotovs and smokes can delay Apps pops, support Mid fights or buy time for rotations when Banana pressure pulls teammates away.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Pit / Apps
- Fight or pressure Apartments with flash support to deny early control or punish careless defaults. (Aggressive)
- Fall back into Pit / Site after contact, keeping A control stable without overcommitting. (Defensive)
- Support Short / Mid fights with utility and rotate according to Banana or Arch information. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting A Site
- Hold Site and Pit crossfires with the Short / Arch player
- Support Apartments control with flashes or molotovs
- Stay close to Library / Long rotation paths while keeping the bombsite protected
Mid-round patterns
- Anchor A Site through Pit, Balcony or Site positioning, using strong crossfires and utility to make the A hit difficult to clear. Decide whether to fight early, play for first contact or stay hidden according to the amount of Apartments and Mid control Ts have taken. The setup fits when information points toward an A hit, advantage situations or rounds where the CT side wants to keep the structure stable.
- Anchor A from Pit, focusing on survival, damage and late-round impact. The goal is not always to stop the execute instantly, but to stay alive long enough to punish the plant, deny clean site control or make the retake easier. It makes sense in retake-oriented situations, disadvantage rounds or setups where the CT side expects pressure from both Short and Apartments.
- Hold or re-clear Apartments in the mid-round to deny late Apps pressure and protect the team from being split during an A finish. This can also allow the Short / Arch player to rotate or focus on Mid control. It is practical when Apartments was contested early, when Ts slow down the round or when the CT side needs information before deciding the final stack.
