Mid Rotator
Usually starts around Mid, Donut, Window, Red Room or close to A depending on spawn, utility and the opening setup. Can change responsibilities with the AWPer, A Anchor or B players between rounds, especially when the team wants to contest Mid, fake pressure, support a lane fight or rotate earlier toward one of the bombsites. Losing Mid control can split the defense apart, but overcommitting to Mid can leave A or B exposed before the round has developed.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Mid
- Fight Mid / Red Room with teammate utility to deny early control and disrupt T defaults. (Aggressive)
- Drop into Donut or play Window to gather information while keeping safe rotation paths. (Defensive)
- Support B Lane, A Main or Donut fights and rotate according to pressure. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting Donut / Window
- Hold Mid control while staying connected to A
- Flash or trade teammates contesting Red Room / Mid
- Rotate quickly toward B or A depending on sound, utility and map control
Mid-round patterns
- Control Mid through positioning, utility and teammate support, keeping Ts uncomfortable about splitting either bombsite. Decide whether to fight forward, hold Donut / Window or fall back into a safer rotation path according to the utility Ts have used and the information gathered. It is practical when the CT side wants to keep a stable map-control structure instead of fully anchoring both sites.
- Play as the Donut connector between Mid and A, staying ready to trade the A player, deny late Mid pressure or help the AWPer reposition. This can free the A Anchor to play deeper or allow the team to lean extra players toward B without completely losing A control. This is common in default rounds, A retake-oriented setups or situations where Mid information is more valuable than early aggression.
- Rotate toward B Lane or A according to timing, sound and utility cues. The hard decision is choosing whether the pressure is real, a fake or just space-taking before leaving Mid. Expect this when Ts pressure one side of the map early, when the CT side has partial information or when the round requires the rotator to keep both bombsites playable.
