AWPer
Usually starts around T Spawn, Silo, Outside, Lobby, Roof or close to Yard timings depending on spawn, utility and the opening plan. Can change responsibilities with the Outside playmaker, Lobby players or lurker between rounds, especially when the team wants to punish CT aggression, pressure Yard, hold rotations or create a pick before committing to upper or lower. The opening kill matters, and the T-side AWPer controls how freely CTs can move around Outside, Heaven, Garage, Main and Secret.

About these averages
Metric: all archived map-side rows with the exact Nuke T “Awper” label. Timeframe: 2024-12-18 to 2026-08-28. Sample: n=5,773.
Source: CSdex V1 aggregate performance archive. Fallback: no fuzzy role-label mapping. Risk: the average describes the archive, not the correct target for every team or round.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Outside
- Peek Yard / Garage / Red with support to punish early CT aggression. (Aggressive)
- Hold passive angles to catch re-peeks, pushes or rotation mistakes. (Defensive)
- Reposition toward Secret, Lobby, Main or upper splits according to CT reactions. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting Lobby / Roof
- Support Outside crosses with long-range cover
- Hold Lobby / Ramp / Hut aggression while riflers take space
- Reposition late toward upper or lower depending on the final call
Mid-round patterns
- Control Outside with the AWP, making it harder for CTs to fight Yard, re-peek Garage or rotate freely between upper and lower. Decide whether to take first contact, hold for mistakes or support teammates crossing Secret according to utility and spacing. This makes sense when the T side wants to threaten lower while keeping the round flexible.
- Hold CT rotations after Outside pressure is established, punishing movement through Heaven, Main, Garage or Secret. This can freeze the defense and make upper hits, lower splits or late fakes much harder to read. The pattern fits slow defaults, after Outside smokes force reactions or when the team wants to turn map control into a late-round advantage.
- Reposition into Lobby / Ramp / Main before the final hit, using the AWP to cover the most dangerous response instead of forcing an entry duel. The goal is often to protect the execute, deny flanks or punish the first CT trying to rotate. The setup fits when the T side has already created pressure elsewhere and needs the AWP to stabilize the final timing.
