Connector Playmaker
Usually starts around T Spawn, Connector entrance, Stairs, Water support routes or late Bathrooms/B links depending on spawn and the opening plan. Can change responsibilities with the A extremity, B extremity or AWPer between rounds, especially when the team wants to split the map, punish CT information plays or create uncertainty between both bombsites. Connector control can become A pressure, B pressure, flank denial or a late rotation cut.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Connector
- Fight Connector with teammate utility to deny CT information and open the map. (Aggressive)
- Hold passive Connector angles to punish pushes from Bathrooms, Short or Water. (Defensive)
- Rotate into A, B or late flank control according to teammate progress. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting Water / support routes
- Support B Short pressure before entering Connector
- Reconnect toward Bathrooms when A pressure needs a second layer
- Delay Connector presence to punish CT rotations later in the round
Mid-round patterns
- Control Connector as the bridge between A and B, forcing CTs to respect multiple split timings. It suits defaults where the T side wants flexibility before the final hit.
- Use Connector to turn B Short or Bathrooms pressure into a split. The role often decides whether to continue forward, hold for aggression or reset after CT utility lands. Teams choose it when defenders are stretched across both sites.
- Lurk Connector late to cut rotations and punish re-clears. This can isolate the B anchor, trap A rotators or protect the bomb carrier from flanks before the final execute.
