Mid Rotator
Usually starts around Mid, Bridge, Connector, Heaven-side routes, Water support positions or close to either bombsite depending on spawn, utility and the defensive setup. Can change responsibilities with the AWPer, A Anchor, B Anchor or site rotators between rounds, especially when the team wants to contest Mid, support Water fights, deny Connector control or rotate quickly between bombsites. Mid information decides whether the defense can stay balanced, reinforce the correct site or stop Ts from turning map control into a clean split.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Mid / Bridge
- Fight Mid / Bridge with teammate utility to deny early T control and disrupt defaults. (Aggressive)
- Hold Mid passively from safer angles, gathering information while preserving rotation paths. (Defensive)
- Rotate toward A, B, Water or Connector according to pressure, utility and teammate calls. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting Connector / Water-side positions
- Support Mid fights with flashes, trades or crossfires
- Help Water control before reconnecting with Mid or B
- Fall back into A / B rotation paths when Ts gain space or utility control
Mid-round patterns
- Control Mid through positioning, utility and teammate support, making it difficult for Ts to build clean splits toward either bombsite. Decide whether to fight forward, hold Bridge / Connector or fall back into a safer rotation path according to the utility Ts have used and the information gathered. Teams choose it when the CT side wants to keep a stable map-control structure instead of fully committing to one site.
- Play as the Connector between Mid, Water and both bombsites, staying ready to support the pressured side without leaving the other side exposed too early. This player often decides whether the defense should reinforce A, help B, fight Water or wait for clearer information. It appears in default rounds, slow T rounds or situations where map control is contested across multiple areas.
- Rotate toward A or B according to timing, sound and utility cues. The hard decision is reading whether the pressure is real, a fake or just space-taking before abandoning Mid. Use this when Ts pressure one extremity early, when the CT side has partial information or when the round requires the rotator to keep both bombsites playable.
- Re-clear Mid / Water / Connector in the mid-round to recover information and reset the defense. This can stop Ts from slowly boxing CTs into passive site positions and allows teammates to adjust without guessing. It works when early map control was lost, when Ts slow down after utility or when the CT side needs one proactive move before the final execute.
