Lower B Playmaker
Usually starts around T Spawn, Lower Tunnels, Upper Tunnels, Mid or close to Catwalk timings depending on spawn, default structure and the opening plan. Can change responsibilities with the Mid player, B lurker, AWPer or Catwalk group between rounds, especially when the team wants to pressure Mid, threaten B splits, punish CT aggression or create late-round uncertainty. Lower B can turn into Mid pressure, Catwalk support, B split timing or a quiet lurk that keeps CT rotations uncomfortable.
Pathings and possibilities from starting Lower B / Mid
- Fight Lower / Mid with teammate utility to deny CT control and create space. (Aggressive)
- Hold Lower passively to punish CT pushes, protect rotations and gather information. (Defensive)
- Move into Mid, Catwalk, Upper B or late B splits according to CT reactions. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from starting Tunnels
- Support Upper B pressure with flashes, trades or late lurk timing
- Drop into Lower to connect with Mid pressure
- Delay B presence to punish rotations or create a late split
Mid-round patterns
- Control Lower B as the link between Tunnels and Mid, keeping CTs uncertain about whether the pressure is becoming a B hit, Mid-to-B split, Catwalk play or late A setup. Decide whether to fight forward, hold for aggression or reconnect with teammates according to utility, sound and teammate progress. This is common in default rounds where the T side wants flexibility before committing to a bombsite.
- Play as the Mid / B split enabler, using Lower control to create timing against the B Anchor and Mid rotator. This player can pressure CT Spawn, punish Window / Doors movement or arrive late enough to catch defenders looking toward Upper Tunnels. The setup fits when the team is building toward a B split, when Mid control is contested or when the round needs a second layer of pressure.
- Lurk around Lower / Tunnels to punish CT information plays and keep rotations trapped. The goal is not always to be first contact, but to create doubt, cut off movement or force defenders to clear one more dangerous timing before rotating. It is practical when the team pressures A, when CTs over-rotate away from B or when the round depends on late map control.
- Reconnect with Catwalk / A pressure after forcing attention around Lower and Mid. This can make the CT side hesitate between reinforcing B, watching Mid or preparing for the A split. Expect this when the T side wants to fake B presence, punish passive Mid setups or turn Lower control into a stronger late A finish.
