Middle
Usually starts around Top Mid, Xbox, Lower B, T Spawn or close to Catwalk timings depending on spawn, default structure and the opening plan. Can change responsibilities with the AWPer, Lower player, Catwalk group or B split players between rounds, especially when the team wants to pressure Mid, threaten both bombsites, punish CT aggression or control rotations before the final hit. Mid control can become Catwalk pressure, B split timing, CT Spawn control or a late reset that keeps the defense guessing.

About these averages
Metric: all archived map-side rows with the exact Dust2 T “Middle” label. Timeframe: 2024-12-18 to 2026-08-28. Sample: n=6,307.

Pathings and possibilities from starting Mid
Fight Mid / Xbox / Catwalk lines with teammate utility to deny CT control and create space. (Aggressive) Hold Top Mid passively to punish CT pushes, re-peeks or information plays. (Defensive) Move into Catwalk, Lower B, CT Spawn or late site splits according to CT reactions. (Situational)
Pathings and possibilities from Lower / support routes
Support Mid fights with flashes and trade spacing Pressure CT Spawn timings to threaten B splits Reconnect with Catwalk or Upper Tunnels depending on the round call
Mid-round patterns
Control Mid through utility, spacing and pressure, making CT rotations uncomfortable and opening multiple split options. Decide whether to fight forward, hold for aggression or reconnect with teammates according to CT utility and positioning. Expect this when the T side wants a flexible default instead of committing early to one bombsite. Play as the connector between Mid control and the final hit, turning space into pressure on Catwalk, B Doors, CT Spawn or A Cross. In this slot, the player often decides whether the team should split B, pressure A, fake Mid or reset into another part of the map. It fits when CT positions are unclear, when both extremities are still alive or when the round depends on converting Mid control into a clean finish. Lurk or delay around Mid / Lower to punish rotations and cut off CT movement. This can isolate the B Anchor, stop fast A rotations or make CTs hesitate before reinforcing either bombsite. It suits late-round situations, after early Mid control is gained or when the team wants to make the final execute harder to read. Reconnect with Catwalk, Long or B Tunnels after forcing Mid reactions. This can turn CT attention against them, especially when the defense overcommits to stopping Mid-to-B pressure or abandons one extremity too early. Teams choose it when the T side wants to fake Mid pressure, punish rotation patterns or create a late split from multiple sides.
