AWPer
The CT AWPer may begin toward T Main, Ivy, Popdog, the outer yard, B Halls or a deeper line between the sites. Train rewards long sightlines, but it also punishes an AWP that becomes predictable or trapped between trains. The player should choose an angle the rifles can protect, take information or a duel, then relocate before utility closes the route.

About these averages
Metric: all archived map-side rows with the exact Train CT “Awper” label. Timeframe: 2024-12-18 to 2026-08-28. Sample: n=1,501.
Source: CSdex V1 aggregate performance archive. Fallback: no fuzzy role-label mapping. Risk: the average describes the archive, not the correct target for every team or round.
Opening options
- Use a strong spawn and teammate support to challenge T Main, Ivy or a B approach, then reset after contact (Aggressive)
- Hold a long crossing line that punishes the second layer of the attack while rifles own the close space (Defensive)
- Show the AWP on one lane, force utility and rotate through CT or Connector when the T default exposes its weight (Situational)
Mid-round decisions
- Outer-yard control depends on several entrances. The AWPer should cover the lane that completes the rifle setup, not chase whichever opponent made the latest sound.
- When one site is pressured, arrive on a line with a safe miss. A dead-end angle can win a duel, but it can also donate the weapon and remove the defense's best retake tool.
- After a shot, change train, elevation or bombsite when the route is clean. Repeating a revealed line lets Ts remove the AWP with a single smoke, flash or coordinated swing.
What breaks the structure
- Holding a long angle while a close T Main, Popdog or Ivy route is no longer covered
- Rotating across exposed yard lanes after the defense has lost the information that made the move safe
What to study in the POV
- How the rifles protect the AWPer's close and side angles
- The escape route chosen before the first shot
- Why the AWP rotates, and which confirmed information makes that rotation worth the risk
