AWPer
The T AWPer can work from T Main, Ivy, Popdog support, B Halls or another line created by the default. Train offers long duels, but most of them are poor without close-angle coverage and an escape. The weapon should punish CT aggression, pin defenders behind trains and cover the routes riflers need to cross, then arrive at a post-plant angle tied to the bomb.

About these averages
Metric: all archived map-side rows with the exact Train T “Awper” label. Timeframe: 2024-12-18 to 2026-08-28. Sample: n=1,504.
Source: CSdex V1 aggregate performance archive. Fallback: no fuzzy role-label mapping. Risk: the average describes the archive, not the correct target for every team or round.
Opening options
- Take a spawn-supported pick toward T Main, Ivy or B with a teammate ready to protect the close response (Aggressive)
- Hold the CT re-peek while riflers establish the default and remove the short angles (Defensive)
- Move after the first utility exchange so the AWP covers the lane needed by the final split rather than the lane already solved (Situational)
Mid-round decisions
- Use the AWP to freeze a rotation or outer-yard re-peek while teammates move between trains. The threat can create space even when the player never fires.
- On a site hit, cover the long defensive line and let rifles clear positions where the AWP cannot recover after a miss. Weapon roles should complement each other.
- In the post-plant, choose a line that sees the bomb or the retake path and still allows a second shot. A distant angle is only useful if it remains connected to the round.
What breaks the structure
- Taking a long duel while a close Popdog, T Main or B Halls defender can swing unchallenged
- Holding a rotation cut after the bomb path has changed and the team needs the AWP at the site
What to study in the POV
- How teammates clear close angles before the AWP commits to a sightline
- The rotation the weapon pins even without a kill
- Post-plant lines, recovery paths and the timing of each re-peek
